640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Colesterolul este o substanta cerata, asemanatoare grasimii, care indeplineste 4 functii primare necesare supravietuirii:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>mentine structura peretilor celulari<\/strong> (fiind mai rigid decat alte lipide, imobilizeaza moleculele din membrana celulara)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>contribuie la crearea acizilor biliari digestivi in intestin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>din el se sintetizeaza in corp\u00a0Vitamina\u00a0D<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>este un precursor al\u00a0anumitori hormoni<\/strong> (progesteron, cortizol, aldosteron, testosteron, estrogen)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Produs de ficatul nostru sau ingerat prin alimentatie, colesterolul trebuie sa se afle la un nivel normal, pentru a-si indeplini corect functiile. Persoanele care consuma produse de origine animala (carne, lactate, oua), singurele care contin colesterol, pot avea mai mult colesterol decat cele care au renuntat la ele, deoarece atunci cand alimentatia este bogata in grasimi saturate si trans, ficatul creste nivelul de colesterol produs.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"tipuri-de-colesterol\"><\/span>Tipuri de colesterol<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12496 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/celule-sangvine.jpg\" alt=\"celule sangvine\" width=\"640\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/celule-sangvine.jpg 640w, https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/celule-sangvine-324x162.jpg 324w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Colesterolul este transportat in organism prin sange (in care nu este solubil), atasat de proteine si formand lipoproteine. In functie de tipul de colesterol din fiecare lipoproteina, principalele tipuri de colesterol sunt:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>lipoproteine cu densitate scazuta (LDL)\/colesterolul <\/strong><strong>\u201e<\/strong><strong>rau\u201d <\/strong>\u2013 transporta colesterolul prin organism, se aduna pe peretii arteriali, ingustandu-i si intarindu-i, provocand boli de inima (hipertensiune, arteroscleroza, angina pectorala, atac de cord), diabet, accident vascular cerebral, ingustarea arterelor periferice de la nivelul intestinelor si rinichilor; constituie 60-70% din colesterolul total<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>lipoproteine cu densitate mare (HDL)\/colesterolul <\/strong><strong>\u201e<\/strong><strong>bun\u201d <\/strong>\u2013 aduna colesterolul in exces din fluxul sangvin si il transporta inapoi la ficat (unde este descompus, spre eliminarea din corp), tinand la distanta bolile; constituie 20-30% din colesterolul total<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"care-este-nivelul-sanatos-de-colesterol\"><\/span>Care este nivelul sanatos de colesterol?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nivelul de colesterol variaza in functie de varsta, sex, greutate si regiune geografica. Este important sa ai un nivel normal de colesterol pe parcursul intregii vieti, incepand din copilarie, deoarece un nivel crescut descoperit mai tarziu in viata este mai dificil de tratat. Cu cat previi mai din timp, cu atat va fi mai bine pentru sanatatea ta, schimbarile in stilul de viata facute la o varsta inaintata nemaiavand acelasi impact asupra nivelului colesterolui ca cele facute in tinerete. Nivelul de colesterol total tinde sa cresca odata cu anii din buletin, iar barbatii tind sa aiba niveluri mai mari decat femeile (care au un nivel de HDL mai mare decat barbatii, pana cand intra la menopauza).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12497 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/familie.jpg\" alt=\"familie\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/familie.jpg 640w, https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/familie-324x216.jpg 324w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>Nivelul de colesterol este masurat in trei categorii, ale caror valori normale sunt (pentru adulti si copii, in miligrame\/decilitru):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>colesterolul total<\/strong> \u2013 pentru adulti, sub 200 de mg\/dl<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>colesterolul <\/strong><strong>\u201e<\/strong><strong>bun\u201d\/HDL <\/strong>\u2013 pentru adulti, intre 40-60 mg\/dl<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>colesterolul <\/strong><strong>\u201e<\/strong><strong>rau\u201d\/LDL <\/strong>\u2013 pentru adulti, sub 100 mg\/dl<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Majoritatea dintre noi au probleme in a echilibra aceste niveluri: colesterolul total si cel \u201erau\u201d\/LDL trebuie mentinute mici, in timp ce un nivel mai ridicat de colesterol \u201ebun\u201d\/HDL poate oferi protectie impotriva bolilor de inima si atacurilor cerebrale. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2747394\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Studiile<\/a> indica faptul ca raportul dintre colesterolul total si HDL este un marker mai bun pentru depistara riscurilor de boala decat nivelul LDL si atat, raportul ajutandu-te sa iti dai seama daca trebuie sa iti limitezi sursele alimentare de colesterol \u201erau\u201d si daca ai un nivel optim de colesterol \u201ebun\u201d: acesta trebuie sa fie sub 4 (cu cat este mai mic, cu atat ai un nivel mai sanatos de colesterol) si se calculeaza impartind prima valoare la a doua.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"care-sunt-cauzele-si-factorii-de-risc-ai-colesterolului-marit\"><\/span>Care sunt cauzele si factorii de risc ai colesterolului marit?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12499 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/fast-food.jpg\" alt=\"fast food\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/fast-food.jpg 640w, https:\/\/sanovita.ro\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/fast-food-324x216.jpg 324w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>La nivelul ridical al colesterolului pot contribui factori care nu depind de tine (mostenirea genetica), dar adesea este rezultatul unor factori pe care ii poti controla (prin modificarea stilului de viata, al alegerilor alimentare si\/sau prin medicatie), ceea ce inseamna ca poate fi prevenit si tratat. Si este oare posibil sa ai prea mult HDL? Majoritatea dintre noi nu pot avea prea mult colesterol \u201ebun\u201d in corp: nivelul acestuia nu urca excesiv daca ai un metabolism normal, care proceseaza colesterolul fara probleme genetice (daca depaseste 90 mg\/dl, atunci e timpul pentru teste amanuntite, in acest sens).
